How the Standout Armor Is Obtained
Dragon armor pieces are earned through repeat adventures into the Scorned Wilderness, provided you are successful again. The selection includes the iconic glorious, resplendent and red Dragon armour, including the Dragon Scimitar and the Dragon Crossbow.
Killing Kuldra will ensure you get a drop: the Dragon Kiteshield, and then a Cape to wear with pride. In a slight deviation from previous iterations, this shield is not a Dragonfire shield as in previous Dragon Generals.
For ranged gear, you need to start killing red dragons before turning their hides into red dragonhide leather. Making the adamant set first is recommended, because it makes killing the dragons a little easier.
Combat Style Armor Checklist
- Melee: craft the adamant armor set.
- Magic: craft the infinity robes, which need infinity cloth made by combining desert cloth with shimmerscale powder.
- Get shimmerscale powder by grinding down any Calphite wings you find from killing them.
- Ranged: work toward the red dragonhide armor.
- Weapons: the adamant greatsword is a strong recommendation, because its special attack is a huge sweeping attack that tears through groups of enemies and is useful later during the trials of Fuzion.
- Remember that the Kuldra reward is a Dragon Kiteshield, and it is not a Dragonfire shield.
The main limits are progression gates rather than a single currency cost. Dragon armor pieces are gated behind repeat Scorned Wilderness success, red dragonhide requires red dragon kills and hide processing, and adamant armor and infinity robes are alternative tier-seven paths for other combat styles.
